The game

Already own Quacks? Only two expansions exist and they do different jobs: one seats a fifth player, the other makes the potions stranger.

2-4 players with the base game. Both expansions need it, and both stretch the game to 5 players in practice at many tables; check your printing.

Herb Witches is the player-count box. It brings the 5th player pieces, new ingredient books and three herb witches who help once per game.

Try Alchemists on its own first. The designer advice echoed in the rules: learn The Alchemists with the base game before stacking both expansions together.
