The game

Already own Memoir '44? This line is a web: army expansions open theaters, boards dress them, and the big Battle Maps ask for several boxes at once. Here is a sane path through it.

2 players with the base game (teams and Overlord formats reach 8). Every expansion needs the base game; some Battle Maps need two or three expansions more.

Battle Maps have shopping lists. D-Day Landings needs the Overlord kit. Khalkhin-Gol needs Eastern Front. Through Jungle and Desert needs Pacific and Mediterranean. Check the back of the box before buying.

The Winter/Desert board is an accessory with a job. Eastern Front and Mediterranean Theater scenarios are written for snow and desert. The board is cheap and unlocks how those boxes are meant to look and play.

Overlord is a format, not scenarios. The Operation Overlord kit lets two teams fight on double maps. The scenarios for it mostly live in the Battle Maps.
