The game

Already own Massive Darkness 2? Heavenfall is the structural expansion. The rest is more enemies, more classes and more tiles, in the order your table feels the lack.

1-6 players, co-op, no game master. Everything below needs the Hellscape base game.

The Upgrade Pack is for owners of the first game. It converts heroes and monsters from Massive Darkness 1. If you never owned the first game, it does nothing for you.

Class boxes are two-for-one. Bards & Tinkerers and Monks & Necromancers each bring two classes, four heroes and a roaming monster. They are content, not campaign.

Which Massive Darkness 2 expansion first?

Heavenfall if you play regularly with the same group: it adds the campaign and deeper hero progression. Enemy boxes if you only want variety.

Do I need the Upgrade Pack?

Only to reuse Massive Darkness 1 heroes and monsters. It is not a normal expansion.
